Mrs Smart, who was 40 years of age, had been ill for over 2 years and had only recently returned from a visit of some months to the spring of Baden in Germany. She was taken ill again a fortnight ago and her illness terminated fatally at noon on Saturday. Mr Smart died in 1894. Three young children survive, 2 sons and a daughter.
